Existing Home Sales Decline Across the Country

Existing-home sales declined in September after stagnation in August, according to the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) latest home sales report. None of NAR's four major regions saw a gain in sales activity last month. Total existing-home sales, completed transactions that include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops – fell. Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist, says rising interest rates have led to a decline in sales across all regions of the country.
